Demo Launch!


Finally!


After working on this project for just under 5 months, I have a playable demo. Of course, it launched with some immediate bugs!

Turns out a scene that I had for the intro cutscene had misplaced positioning for Paula after updating the art for her (beautifully made by my sister), and the text itself was getting double prompted every time it was progressed, so the cutscene was about half as long, and twice as difficult to understand (at least)! These were thankfully quick fixes and V011 is live as a result.

Speaking of the cutscene though, Audio balancing has been a huge issue with the project and I'm hoping the default values I've put in there have been good enough that players can adjust their settings to fit their preferences without too much issue.

The current demo has three "levels" available, A Tutorial, a Mission, and a Date.

The Date scene isn't as long as I'd like it to be, but all levels outside of the tutorial will be getting lots of updates as time goes on and I hope to have the demo become more and more representative of the final product as time goes on, but for now, I am happy with the results. 

So for those interested in playing, keep an eye out for updates which will include longer conversations and more outcomes for dates, more densely populated missions, and more mechanics to interact with, like secrets, changing areas, and collectibles.
